Armenia /ɑrˈmiːniə/ (Armenian: Հայաստան, transliterated: Hayastan, Armenian pronunciation: [hɑjɑsˈtɑn]), officially the Republic of Armenia (Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն, Hayastani Hanrapetut’yun, [hɑjɑsˈtɑni hɑnɾɑpɛtuˈtʰjun]), is a landlocked mountainous country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia.
